Typical timeline: 2–6 days depending on scope
Ceramic floor tile, one room, membrane (2 days)
Large-format porcelain, one room, Ditra (3 days)
Full home tile, transitions, sealing (4–6 days)
All options are customized to your project. Final scope and timeline provided after on-site assessment.
Over a wood subfloor, yes. An uncoupling membrane like Schluter Ditra absorbs movement and prevents cracks from telegraphing through grout and tile. Over a stable concrete slab it's optional but still recommended for large-format porcelain.
For rectified large-format porcelain we use 1/16" grout lines for a near-seamless look. For standard ceramic floor tile we use 1/8" to 1/4" lines depending on the tile. Wider lines hide minor size variation in non-rectified tile.
Absolutely. We install Schluter Ditra-Heat or electric cable systems with a programmable thermostat. Heated tile floors are especially popular in Windsor-Essex entryways, bathrooms, and basements where cold floors are a complaint.
